PARISH SERVICES

Parishioners who have had previous marriages are assisted through the Church’s Annulment process. Each year we are able to bless many marriages in the Church, sometimes ending years of pain for a Catholic who has not been able to receive the Sacraments. Father Rotert or Deacon Ken Fuenfhausen are available to help individuals in this process.

All parishioners are invited to the Parish Hall most Sundays after the morning Masses (September thru May) for coffee, donuts, and fellowship. This is hosted by various groups, committees, and ministries of the parish. Call Pat Knight, 816.966.9071, to volunteer to host.

Our Parish Food Pantry helps the people of our area who are experiencing difficult times. On the first Sunday of each month we ask you to bring non-perishable items to stock the pantry; cash donations are welcomed anytime.

Volunteers from the parish also help with such community projects as Holy Family House (providing meals for the homeless) and Christmas in October (home repairs for the needy). Contact the Parish Office for information.

Our parish also maintains a large garden to help feed the poor throughout the Kansas City area. Thousands of pounds of fresh produce are distributed each year. Assistance is always appreciated in planting, weeding, and harvesting. Bill and Pat Julo coordinate the Parish Garden Project.

We offer a fully-staffed, fully-equipped program for parents who would like their pre-school age children to have some contact with other children their age, to learn new things (based on their age and ability), and to give their parents a little break.

The Little Lambs Program is available on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Reservations are necessary and a fee is charged. Jennifer Coots is Director of the Little Lambs Program.

MINISTERS OF CARE

Ministers of Care are men and women of our parish who, after a skill-training session, visit the hospitalized and homebound. Those serving in this important ministry are usually scheduled for a two-week period two or three times a year.

Barbara Aulgur, Mollie Lannigan and Sister Clare coordinate this program. If you are willing to serve as a Minister of Care, please contact the Parish Office.
